Modularity

Modularity is a measure of the flexibility of the program. It is the act of dividing the program into a set of modules which are bonded together and are cohesive. Modularity makes a program less complex and also divides the program into distinguishable parts performing a specific function.

Example a computer has a number of parts like speaker, printer, monitor, keyboard etc each perform a specific task but all the parts together work as a computer which is the aim of the device. Thus modularity also reflects the real world to a very great extend.
